The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Houston, Texas, USA
This monumental exhibition (extended over 2500m2) retraces
a personal journey through his reflections on color phenomena,
but also situates the artist into a key period of art history from
the late 1940s to today.
The retrospective is a major event for art lovers eager to discover
or rediscover Carlos Cruz-Diez's international career. From rarely
seen figurative artworks to interactive series, architectural projects
and integration in public spaces, no aspect of what we know today
as an exceptional achievement on color will be left aside.
To accompany this retrospective, the Cruz-Diez Documentation
Center and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston produce a major
catalogue compiling information concerning the artist’s various
conceptual and technical stages of his work.
