Suprasensorial: Experiments in Light, Color, and Space

Organized by MOCA curator Alma Ruiz, this exhibition situates six Latin American
pioneering artists among the international canon of those working with light and
space.

It features room-size installations including a 1965 Cruz-Diez “Chromosaturation”,
re created in 2010. The three red, blue and green rooms surprise the observer’s
perceptions by creating spatial zones of violet, orange and other rainbow shades.

"Suprasensorial" will travel from Los Angeles to the Hirshhorn Museum and
Sculpture Garden in Washington DC from February 23rd to May 13th, 2012.
