This research begins with the first Amarillo Aditivo (Additive Yellow), which originates in Cruz-Diez’s experiments, intended to liberate color from form by fragmenting the traditional surface. Color Aditivo (Additive Color) is based on the evidence that when two colored surfaces touch, a darker virtual line appears on the contact area. Isolating that ‘contact area,’ he obtains the so-called “Módulos de Acontecimiento Cromático” (Chromatic Event modules).
